Erasmus Intensive Programmes (IPs) are one of the less popular Erasmus LLP activities for Tertiary Education, similar to those of student and teacher mobility, Leonardo da Vinci programs for practical experience etc. They are short term multinational teaching programs emphasizing on innovation and the multilateral approach of teaching subjects, in which students and teachers of Higher Educational Institutions of other countries participate.

The Department of Automotive Engineers of the Alexander T.E.I. of Thessaloniki participates in Intensive Programs as partner since 2004-05, and as coordinator from 2010-11 until 2012-13. The latter has been awarded with the 3rd Quality Award by the Greek National Agency for Erasmus LLP in 9/12/2013.

This activity has increased student of DAE/ATEITh mobility towards other HEIs of the EU in the frame of Erasmus LLP.It is indicative that more than 50 students and 12 teachers of DAE/ATEITh have participated in Intensive Programmes from 2010 until 2013.
