He was born in Thessaloniki in 1974. He received the Diploma in Electrical Engineering and the PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineers of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in 1997 and 2002, respectively. From 2003 until 2007 he has been an Associate Lecturer of the Department of Mechanical Engineers of the University of Thessaly and the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science & Communications of TEI Serron. Since 2008 he is with the Department of Automotive Engineering of the Alexander TEI of Thessaloniki in the subject of "Electrical Drivetrains and Automotive Electronics".
He basically teaches the Courses Simulation of Physical Phenomena - MATLAB (2nd semester), Automotive Electronics (4th semester) and Electric and Hybrid Electric Vehicles (7th semester). His scientific interests include electrical drivetrains, power signal management algorithms and computational electromagnetics.
He is active with the Erasmus LLP Intensive Programmes. He has been the coordinator of the scheme entitled "Powering the Future with Zero Emissions and Human Powered Vehicels" for three years, which received the 3rd Quality award by the Greek National Agency for Erasmus Programmes, the State Scholarships Foundation (I.K.Υ.).
He is member of the TCG (Technical Chamber of Greece), SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers), ΙΕΕΕ (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and Hel.E.V (Hellenic Institute of Electric Vehicles).
